How do you keep your dairy cows cool during these hot, summer days?

Share

We’re in the heat of the summer, and days are hot! Curious how dairy farmers keep their cows cool on these hot days? Cow comfort is always a top priority for farmers. The more comfortable they are, the more milk they can produce.

Farmers implement a variety of tactics to ensure their cows are happy and cool. This may include fans in their barns, misters, shelters that provide shade, and when cows are out in the pasture they even get to enjoy water raining down on them from the pivots!
