Baked Pears

First, pre heat the oven at 350F
Halve pears and remove the core with a small spoon
Smear coconut oil on top of the pear halves.
Place cut side up in your baking dish.
Sprinkle on top of pears:
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon bark
- Sprinkle juice from 1 lime
- Small piece of thyme
Bake at 350F for 30 minutes
To make caramelized nuts add to a frying pan 1 tablespoon of coconut oil until it makes a syrup, 1/2 cup walnuts and 1/2 cup almonds. Keep on medium heat fry for 5 minutes continuously stirring.
Enjoy baked pears with a scoop of ice cream or yogurt and caramelized nuts!
