Curds and Kindness, an industry wide dairy initiative, is designed to offer relief and get nutrient rich dairy foods into the hands of those who need them most.
Some people called it a café, some said it was a truck stop, and others used the old-fashion term-diner. I and several others just thought of it as the place we got coffee each morning, maybe a pancake, and sometimes a full meal after a busy morning.

Dairies are by nature non-stop. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Milk 2 times a day, or milk 3 times a day, or maybe 4 times, it’s every day. It doesn’t matter if the feed truck breaks down, or the well quits, or someone just doesn’t show up for work, the milking and the feeding has to be done. It will be done somehow, sometimes it is like pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
