Are there antibiotics in milk?

Share

Sometimes, it is necessary, as dairy farmers, to give our cows antibiotics. They get sick just like you and I do and we do that under the supervision of a veterinarian to ensure that our cows stay healthy and they get better when they are sick. After we doctor them and use that antibiotic, that milk is discarded for a determined period of time as the antibiotics are labelled for. It’s important that you know that every milk, or every load of milk, that leaves our dairy is rigorously tested for antibiotics, so you can feel safe that any of the milk that you buy at the store is antibiotic free.
