Hi, I'm Katie Bastian, the dietitian for Jordan School District. I’m excited to have 1% flavored milk back in the schools. The reason being is children enjoy the 1% a little bit better because it has a better mouth feel and provides them more satiety. Hopefully, with more 1% flavored milk back in the schools they’ll be able to get those nine essential nutrients they need that milk provides and this will give them the nutrition that they need to make it through their day.
