  • 1 loaf Cuban Bread
  • 1/2 stick butter, softened
  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 lbs boiled ham, sliced
  • 1 1/2 lbs roasted pork, sliced
  • 1 lbs Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup dill pickle chips
Cuban Sandwich

Prepare ham and pork. Boil the ham and roast the pork as directed on the packaging. Let the meats rest before slicing. Slice pork and ham in desired thickness.

Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise. Spread 2 tablespoons of butter on one half bread and apply a thin layer of mustard onto the other slice. Place 1 to 2 layers of ham, pork, cheese, and pickles on the buttered bread and top with the mustard spread slice.

Melt the remaining butter and spread it all over the outside of the sandwich. Wrap it completely in aluminum foil.

Heat your grill to high and close the lid. Let it heat for 10 minutes before lowering the heat to medium-high before continuing. Press down the wrapped sandwich before placing on the grill to flatten it.

Place wrapped sandwich on the grill and close the lid. Let it grill for 5 to 7 minutes before flipping it over to grill the other side. Grill for an additional 5 to 7 minutes.

Remove the wrapped sandwich from the grill. Then grill the sandwich for an additional 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown.

Remove sandwich from the grill and slice into servings. Add them to your favorite platter and serve while hot. Take this recipe to the next level by adding a beer cheese dip to involve your sandwich and sides.
